New Ogunquit Restaurant Opens in Former Five-O Space With Steaks, Burgers, and Shakes
Chophouse Grille Is Now Open at 50 Shore Road
There’s something new at one of Ogunquit’s more familiar restaurant spots. Chophouse Grille at 50 Shore Road is officially open, taking over the longtime home of Five-O, which occupied the space for more than two decades.
If you’ve spent time in Ogunquit, you probably know the building. Now there’s a new name on the door and a very different concept inside.
An Elevated Steak, Burger & Shake Concept
Chophouse Grille bills itself as a Burger, Steak & Shake concept, but a look at the menu shows there’s a little more to it than the name might suggest. Along with burgers and shakes, there are steaks, scallops and other dishes that give it more of an elevated chophouse feel.
You could stop in when you’re in the mood for a burger and shake, but it also works for a night when steak or seafood sounds more like what you’re after.
I like that it doesn’t seem to be trying to fit into just one box. There are some familiar favorites on the menu, but enough beyond that to make it feel like more than another burger place.
It’s always interesting to see a well-known Ogunquit restaurant space get a new chapter, especially one that had the same tenant for so long.
Chophouse Grille is open now. Check their social media for current hours, menu updates and a closer look at what they’re serving.
