Cooper Flagg may be one of the biggest names in basketball right now, but apparently he still likes the idea of coming home to Maine and hanging out in a card shop.

Honestly, that feels pretty on-brand.

Flagg has officially opened Flagg Trading Company, a new sports card and collectibles shop in his home state, and this isn’t some random celebrity business venture that popped up overnight.

According to Cooper, he and his cousin Tyler have actually been talking about opening a place like this for around two years.

The goal was to create something that felt a little different from the typical card shop.

Flagg said he wanted it to be welcoming, comfortable and somewhere people could actually hang out instead of just walking in, buying something and leaving.

And for him, opening something in Maine was important.

Even with the craziness that comes with basketball season, having a business back home gives him another connection to the place where he grew up.

Flagg Trading Company officially opened its doors Saturday morning at 10.

For sports card collectors, basketball fans or anyone who just wants to say they bought a card from a shop owned by one of Maine’s biggest sports stars, this could become a pretty cool stop.

And let’s be real, if Cooper Flagg happens to walk in while you’re browsing, that’s probably a slightly better card-shop experience than most of us are used to.
