There's no doubt that 2020 has been a year loaded with conspiracy theories.  These conspiracies have involved everything from the origins of the COVID-19 coronavirus, what the vaccines contain, and massive voter fraud.

This latest conspiracy theory really takes the cake, though.

According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, some people are concerned that Chinese troops may have invaded remote parts of the State of Maine.

For the record, we've checked, it is NOT April 1st.

Remember that small earthquake that happened near Washington County last week?  Well, some people are saying that it was not an earthquake.  They claim that it was a bunker busting bomb that the US Military dropped on a group of hidden Chinese troops.

Who started the wild rumor?  Apparently, a New Jersey radio host named Hal Turner was the first to mention the wild theory.  According to him, 50,000 Chinese troops were killed in the attack.

According to Wikipedia, Turner's show typically covers topics like the denial of the holocaust and a wide range of other conspiracies.  Based in New Jersey, he operates a blog and runs his show on a Maine-based shortwave radio station.
