Crews Are Searching Central Maine River For Man Who Disappeared in it Monday Night
According to WGME 13, several crews were working to locate a man that was in the Sebasticook River in Clinton on Monday night.
Authorities say that the man was last seen in the river on Monday night. Crews from the Maine State Police, Maine Warden Service, Clinton Fire and Fairfield Fire were all supporting the search efforts.
The Maine Warden Service had even deployed an aircraft to the area to help search for the missing man. At this time, there is no indication that the man ever made it out of the river once he entered it, WGME reports.
Additionally, we don't yet know the identity of the man in the river, however officials have indicated there is no reason to believe he is local.
