Halloween Fun Takes Over Downtown Augusta

There’s something especially fun about seeing downtown Augusta packed with little witches, superheroes, ghosts and princesses with candy buckets in hand. Trick or Treat on Water Street has become a Halloween tradition that brings local families and downtown businesses together for an evening that feels like one big community celebration.

On Saturday, October 31, from 4:30–7:30 p.m., Water Street will once again fill with costumes, candy and plenty of Halloween fun. Downtown merchants, local businesses and public safety organizations all get involved, giving Augusta kids a chance to trick-or-treat their way through the heart of the city.

More Than Just Candy

Of course, there’s plenty of candy, but that’s only part of the night. Families can enjoy fun activities throughout downtown, grab something to eat from food trucks and take in the Halloween entertainment.

Costumes are a big part of the evening, too, with a costume contest giving kids, and those who go all-out for Halloween, a chance to show off their creativity. And you won’t want to miss the witches dancing their way through downtown, one of the fun sights that adds to the spirit of the night.

What makes Trick or Treat on Water Street so special is how much of Augusta gets involved. Businesses open their doors, families come downtown together and kids get an evening filled with treats, laughter and memories.

For three hours, downtown Augusta becomes one big Halloween celebration, festive, a little spooky and full of community spirit.
