Everyone is OK following a scary crash that happened between a car and a Maine school bus on Monday morning.

According to a report from WGME 13, a man from Norridgewock, Maine, was driving on Main Street in Kingfield when he reportedly fell asleep.

As the man allegedly dozed off, an MSAD 58 school bus was stopped and picking up children for the morning bus run, the news station stated.

The vehicle collided with the rear of the school bus causing the vehicle to drive underneath the stopped bus, according to WGME.

At the time of the crash there were 16 children on board the bus, the news station added.

District administrators contacted parents to let them know about the incident while simultaneously dispatching another bus to pick the students up at the scene of the crash.

Fortunately, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, there were no reported injuries sustained in the crash.

WGME reports on Tuesday morning that the Monday crash is still under investigation.
