Enjoy The Sunshine This Weekend, Winter Weather Looks to Arrive in Maine Next Week

If you were one of the thousands of Mainers who spend most of their summer complaining on Facebook about how much rain the state was getting, then we don't want to hear you complain about precipitation that falls next week that isn't in the form of rain. Just kidding, you can b*tch about it because we probably will, too.

According to WGME 13 Chief Meteorologist, Christian Bridges, we will be in for a fairly decent weekend before everything goes to hell in a handbasket next week. Also, important to note that he didn't actually say 'hell in a hand basket', I added that for effect. Enjoy the weekend is all I'm saying.

This weekend is gonna be totes beauts (totally beautiful) as most of Maine can expect steady sunshine with highs into the mid to upper 50s inland. Obviously as you can imagine, the temps will be a little cooler the closer you venture toward the coastline.

As we get into early next week, temperatures will dip a bit to start the week on Monday, but will then rebound nicely headed into Tuesday. But that's pretty much where the 'good news' ends for the week.

Tuesday will be fairly mild with temps near 60 inland, but there will be a storm coming through. Fortunately, this storm will bring precip in the form of rain. Though far western Maine and higher elevations may see a bit of snow. But this isn't even the storm we're talking about here..

Another storm moves into the region on Thursday, though temperatures will have plunged back into the upper 20s for much of Maine. This means that the precipiation coming on Thursday is likely to be in the form of 'mixed bag' or even straight ahead snow. Now it's a little early to start talking travel conditions or possible accumulation amounts, but we'll get into that a little later next week.

And remember, don't drive like a douche canoe in the bad weather.
