It's no secret that going to college on its own accord can be a really challenging and confusing time in a young person's life. Let alone having to deal with the complexities of the student loan system.

Thankfully, one longtime Augusta, Maine organization has plans to help educate area youngsters on some of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to student loans.

According to the Kennebec Journal, the event, which is completely free, will be happening Thursday afternoon on March 23rd at 1 in the afternoon. The Kennebec Journal is reporting this morning that a guest speaker named, Sophie Laing, will be giving the presentation.

Reports indicate that Laing, who is a student loan specialist and staff attorney over to Pine Tree Legal, is providing the question and answer session free of charge to those interested in attending.

The Kennebec Journal went on to explain in their article that this presentation over at Lithgow Library is part of an ongoing series being put on by Pine Tree Legal titled 'Know Your Rights'.

The Kennebec Journal also goes on to detail that the 'Know Your Rights' series will be continuing in the coming months with a variety of presentations and, at least it appears, that the upcoming informational seminars will all be taking place at Augusta, Maine's historic Lithgow Library.

If you, or someone you know, is looking for information on this upcoming presentation, you can contact the library by picking up the telephone and ringing them at 207.626.2415.
