880 Grams of Fentanyl Found in Crackers Box During Waterville, Maine Traffic Stop
According to a post from the Maine State Police Facebook page, a traffic stop on Monday, April 18th, led to the seizure of more than 800 grams of fentanyl that was hidden inside a box of crackers.
Maine State Police report that Troopers, Daniel Murray and Eric Bronson, along with Waterville Officer, Makayla Hodge, all assisted in the investigation that led to the bust and arrests.
Trooper Murray had conducted a vehicle stop for an apparent equipment violation. During the stop, Murray reported seeing several 'indicators of criminal activity'. At that time, Trooper Murray conducted an investigation on the roadside and was assisted by Waterville PD and the other Trooper.
During the investigation, police uncovered an astonishing 880 grams of fenatnyl that was pre-packaged for redistribution inside a box of club crackers.
Maine State Police reported that both Michael A. Bridges, 49, and Elizabeth Cole, 31, were arrested and charged with Class A - Aggravated Trafficking. Bridges was also charged with Violation Conditions of Release.
They were both taken to Kennebec County Jail.
