Five Maine Schools are "Military Friendly Schools"

In today's Renee of Sunshine powered by Kennebec Savings Bank, community strong for 150 years...five Maine secondary schools have been designated as “Military Friendly Schools.”

The five Maine schools are not alone. All in all, over 700 colleges and universities across the country were recognized with this honor. I love that!

In Maine, the schools that received this destination were the University of Maine at Augusta, Central Maine Community College, Husson University, Maine Maritime Academy, and Southern Maine Community College. To all of them, I say "congratulations"

In fact, according to US News ….The University of Maine at Augusta has been supporting vets since the end of the Vietnam War when soldiers were coming home.
