For almost 12 years, Juiced has been a familiar part of downtown Hallowell, Maine. Since opening in 2014, the locally owned business focused on one simple goal: making healthy food easy to find and affordable for people in Central Maine.

Over time, Juiced became more than just a place to grab a smoothie or açaí bowl, it became a trusted and loved part of the community.

With the continued support of customers, employees, friends, and neighbors, Juiced stayed true to its mission. Many locals made it part of their daily routines, stopping in for juices, lunch, or a quick boost during the day.

The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff helped make Juiced a place people felt comfortable returning to again and again.

Sadly, Juiced has announced it will close on January 17. The decision comes after the sale of the building and rising rent costs made it too difficult to continue operating. The owners had hoped to sell the business to new owners who could keep it going, but that plan did not work out.

The closure of Juiced is a loss for Hallowell. For over a decade, it offered healthy options and a friendly place to gather, and its absence will be felt by many. Community members are encouraged to stop by before closing day, use any remaining gift cards, and help celebrate the business one last time.

Juiced may be closing its doors, but its impact on Hallowell will not be forgotten.
