The unofficial close to the summer season is behind us.  However, for Vacationland things are NOT over.  Fall in Maine is BIG business.  People coming to Maine for the leaf-peeping and Columbus Day. They've become the biggest moneymakers for motels and restaurants!  People, literally, come to Maine by the bus loads to see the fall colors.  Fall is also the time of year that a lot of the cruise ships come to the state. So, as long as we don't get any big storms that blow the leaves off the trees, the experts feel this will be a wonderful year for fall foliage.  I guess in this case money DOES grow on trees!
