Wow, what a crazy Game 7 between the Bruins and Maple Leafs, fitting for a crazy series in general. Going into Monday night's game, I was ready to accept a loss after being up 3 games to 1, but thought it would be close, and in a twisted way it was. The first two periods were good, honest hard-hitting hockey.

The third period is where things went haywire. It started out with a score of 2-1 for Toronto, but the game quickly starting slipping away from Boston. By midway through the third, the Bruins were down  4-1. There were less than 10 minutes to go in regulation and I figured I’d slip away from the TV and browse Facebook for a bit. My wife Lynn was doing laundry and watching ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the bedroom as I was moaning and groaning about the Bruins' play.

I went into the study or “old living room" to play on the computer and heard a goal horn, I’m thinking that will lessen the sting a bit; the score is now 4-2 Toronto. When I got settled back into scrolling through my feed, I hear the goal horn again, now it is 4-3 Toronto with about 2 minutes left? At 4-3 I remember thinking, wouldn't this be crazy if the Bruins tied it up? I screamed when the Bruins scored again and Lynn asked, “What is going on.” I replied, "The B’s tied it up it’s now, 4-4." A few short seconds later it was the end of regulation and we were in overtime.

I paced during the intermission. Could they actually get this and move on I asked myself? Sure enough about six minutes into OT, boom, Bruins win! Now it is round 2 baby versus the Rangers. Game one is Thursday night in Boston!
