Popular Maine Donut Shop Closing Brunswick Location After 2 Years

A well-known Maine donut shop is getting ready to close one of its locations.

The Holy Donut announced that its Brunswick shop will permanently close later this month after two years in business. The Maine-based company shared the news on Instagram, calling the closure a “difficult decision.”

The company did not give a specific reason for shutting down the Brunswick location, but thanked both its employees and customers for their support since the shop opened.

The Holy Donut has built a loyal following in Maine for its unique potato donuts, which are made using Maine potatoes and come in a wide variety of flavors.

According to WGME, the Brunswick shop’s final day of business will be August 23, giving customers a little more time to stop in before the doors close for good.

The company’s other Maine locations will remain open.

After two years in Brunswick, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the shop. Our final day will be August 23, 2026.
