It’s Just a Misdemeanor…Woman Who Steals Groceries Summoned

According to a report, her name is Lou Ann Gedmint of South China and she allegedly walked out of the Elm Plaza Hannaford in Waterville the other night with $200 worth of groceries and refused to submit to police requests to stop as she went to her car. She drove off and was, eventually, tracked to her residence...

When police went inside her home they couldn't do much. They couldn't just start grabbing groceries because it's hard to distinguish between those that were taken and those that were already there.

Waterville's po po are working with loss prevention to try and come up with a final figure on the value of the groceries taken. Meanwhile, Gedmint awaits a January 7th court date.
