For decades, Sam's Club has been the go-to retailer for families looking to save a few dollars by purchasing items in bulk.

The retailer, sister store to Walmart, is notorious for gallon jugs of ketchup, 24-packs of ramen noodles, and cases of canned vegetables.

However, if you are a fan of the store you know that Sam's Club sells so much more.  Most Sam's Club locations have hardware departments, automotive departments, they sell electronics (computers, bluetooth speakers, gaming consoles, drones), and they have a large selection of unique grocery items.

On top of that, the cafe is a real hidden gem.  The Sam's Club cafe sells food that is not only very affordable, but also incredibly high quality.  I can think of no other place in Central Maine where I can take the kids to have lunch for less than $10.  And, that includes dessert!

Sam's Club's Caramel Palmier Sundae

The cafe at Sam's Club frequently features special sundae that only stick around for a few weeks.

For example, they once did a special birthday cake sundae celebrating the chain's birthday.  And, last spring, they did a special Peaches 'N Cream sundae.

The latest specialty sundae is a Caramel Palmier Sundae.

This sundae has the vanilla frozen yogurt, caramel sauce, and two palmier pieces.  If you, like me, are not familiar with palmier, they are a French pastry that is kind of like a cinnamon roll.  Most of us would call them Elephant Ears.

This sundae is really good, but there is a catch: it is only going to be around until March 3rd.  So, don't wait too long to get yours.

There are Sam's Club locations in Augusta, Scarborough, and Bangor.  Find the location nearest you on the Sam's Club website.
