Anna Kendrick, a native of Portland, Maine, has continued to make a name for herself as a talented actress, and now director, in Hollywood.

The Deering High School graduate started her acting career early, taking the stage in a number of local productions before transitioning to the big screen.

In a Hot Ones interview with host Sean Evans, she revealed that one of her first performances was around 6 years old as an orphan in a stage production of "Annie."

She hasn't stopped since then.

A breakout role for Kendrick came in the 2009 George Clooney drama "Up in the Air," which earned her an Academy Award nomination and really launched her into the spotlight.

The charming and witty actress has really tackled a variety of roles over the years from her small stint in the blockbuster "Twilight" films to the popular "Pitch Perfect" movies.
