Project Pinball’s Heartfelt Donation Brings Fun to Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine

Children, families and staff at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital in Portland now have an amazing gift that should bring a smile to the face of children with illnesses.

Project Pinball is a non-profit organization that works to provide pinball machines to children's hospitals and facilities like Camp Sunshine, to introduce kids to a fun game that can help take their minds off what they are dealing with medically.

Since 2011, Project Pinball has placed 80 pinball machines in hospitals across the United States. Equipment, parts, supplies, and regular maintenance are also provided at no cost to the hospital.

I was honored to be invited to be a part of a donation of a pinball machine back in 2017 at Camp Sunshine and even organized a small pinball tournament for the kids.

Senior Director of Project Pinball, Dan Spolar, is traveling across the country for his 10th Annual Love Across America Tour, on which he has visited 21 states, and driven over 8,000 miles to make 7 donations of pinball machines.

On October 28, Dan and Project Pinball were back in Maine with another donation of a pinball machine to the Barabara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Dan and our good friend Dave Madore set up an Avengers: Infinity Quest pinball machine made by Stern Pinball.
