Good times have been had and memories have been made as a lively concert year is about to wrap.

Several major venues across New England have already closed for the season including Thompson's Point in Portland, Maine, the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine, the Bank NH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire as well as the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

But the music and touring industry rarely rests long and as November and December roll in, big concerts will be announced for all of these seasonal New England venues.

More Major Tours Are Expected Throughout 2027

There were plenty of unforgettable concerts throughout 2026. However, if it felt like it may have been a slower year than a few more recently, you weren't imagining it.

Several major tours have already been announced for 2027 with many more expected as the concert business once again ramps up from coast to coast. That is likely to lead to more shows in 2027 than in 2026.

Will Concert Ticket Prices Go Down For The 2027 Season?

The short answer is concert pricing for the biggest and most in-demand tours is unlikely to change from 2026.

There are more tours and specific artists that are trying to avoid empty seats and ticket fatigue from consumers by setting fixed-pricing or reserving sections at venues for strictly low-cost tickets.

It also remains to be see if new legislation in many states regulates the ticket resale market which may make entry to shows more affordable as 2027 wears on.
