Remote Liberty, Maine, Farm Stand Named Among Best in America
For the majority of us, grabbing some fruits and vegetables requires a trip to the grocery store. Maine has a handful of terrific grocery stores committed to offering customers local produce from nearby farms.
But for others, that's not quite good enough. They want to know that those fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy are coming from the farm right next door or down the road, which is why farm stands remain a popular destination for many who live in Maine (as well as those who visit).
LoveFood recently put together a list of the best farm stands in every state throughout the country. And while their choice for Maine might require a road trip for many, it's truly a one-stop shop for all things fresh and local.
LoveFood put the spotlight on Wild Grace Farm Store and Cafe in Liberty. The gorgeous and rustic farm stand overlooks Lake St. George, and has become a summer destination for many who pass through the area.
Wild Grace operates like a traditional farm stand, where you can find locally grown meats, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables as well as local products like bread, honey, jams, and small gifts.
it's also made a name for itself thanks to its on-site cafe. Offering breakfast and lunch, the cafe can get busy thanks to its delicious selection of salads, sandwiches, paninis, and fresh coffee.
Wild Grace is a family-operated seasonal business. The farm stand will open for 2024 starting in the middle of May, with the cafe opening on June 1.
