The Meatloaf is an Underrated Gem at This Popular New Hampshire Restaurant

The Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery is located on Route 27 in Raymond, New Hampshire.  You can go there for a sit-down meal or you can shop in the Marketplace.  Two of my family members were visiting the other day and wanted to eat there, so off we went.

Chef Bobby is friends with Guy Fieri

If you have never been to the Tuckaway, you literally don't know what you are missing.  The Chef, Bobby Marcotte, is famous for his numerous TV appearances with Guy Fieri.  Bobby wouldn't be on TV all those times with Guy if it wasn't for his delicious food.  The Tuckaway Tavern in Raymond is the original place where we fell in love with his expertise in the kitchen.

My house is about a mile away from the Tuckaway, so I know how long the wait can be for a table to try the tasty steak tips.  My family was excited to try the place, and they patiently waited for us to be seated.  My honorary daughter Sam was looking over the menu, and I said to her that I would order the tips, but she should order her favorite, the meatloaf.  She had no idea what she was in for.

Her son (my boy!!) Kahlo couldn't believe how big that thing was!  He was looking at me saying, "Nana-Nah-Nah, how's Mamma gonna eat all that?"

The pictures don't really show how humongous this thing is.  Sam ate maybe a quarter of it, and ate the rest of it for the next two days.

Size Doesn't Matter

Okay, the meatloaf is big, but does it taste good?  Are you kidding me?  Are those French fried onions on the top of that thing?  Oh yes, my friend, they are.  The sauces are amazing that they drizzle over the top.  It is the most delicious meatloaf I have ever put into my mouth  (I'm sorry Ma).
