New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler Sang a Very Touching Song for Saturday Night Live – SNL50
Manchester, New Hampshire's own, Adam Sandler, sang a very touching song for the Saturday Night Live 50 year celebration.
Fans of Adam Might Tear Up
The lyrics included a ton of inside jokes, but at the end of the song, he really hit home with the actors that meant so much to the cast and the audience watching. Some of them have passed away.
Adam sang:
50 years of cast members saying I think our cast is the greatest of all time, but we all know that the first cast was the best.
And because of them, we got four years of Eddie Murphy, eight years of Will Forte, five years of Jan Hooks and Gilda, six of Victoria, 11 of Che, three years of Melanie Hutsell, Michael McKeon crushed it in two, one of Billy Crystals, six of Dennis Miller, eight of Hartman, the Glue.
There were a couple times when Adam paused and he looked like he might start crying. After he sang these two lines:
Six years of our boy, Farley.
Five of our buddy, Norm.
Adam ended the song with the most touching line of the night:
50 years of the best times of our lives.

Regardless of how people feel about the show, there were some absolutely amazing talents that have worked on that stage. This was a very touching tribute to so many of them.
Steve Martin Was a Laugh Riot
The best line from the opening monologue from Steve Martin was, in my opinion, "a person born during the first season of Saturday Night Live could today be easily dead from natural causes."
If you missed the show all together, you can always watch it "On Demand." We used to have to wait for the DVD to come out, but those days are long gone.
