Augusta’s Free House Music Festival Gets a New Date After Rain Cancellation
If you were planning to check out the Kennebec Valley House Music Festival in Augusta last month and were bummed when the weather didn’t cooperate, good news: it’s officially back on.
I originally wrote about the festival when it was scheduled for September 20, but rain ended up forcing organizers to cancel the event. The original plan was six hours of house music at Mill Park, something we honestly don’t get a whole lot of here in Central Maine.
The House Music Festival Has a New Date
The Kennebec Valley House Music Festival has now been rescheduled for Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mill Park Pavilion on Mill Street in Augusta.
And yes, it’s still completely FREE.
According to the new event flyer, the lineup includes DJ Cuz’n Ed, Miss S. Peace, DJ Ambivert and DJ Ozzie Mandias.
House Music Right Here in Augusta
I said this the first time around, but as someone who loves house music, I think it’s pretty cool to see an event like this happening right here in Augusta.
You don’t have to buy a ticket or commit to staying all day. Stop by Mill Park, hang out for a bit and listen to something a little different.
Hopefully Mother Nature is a house music fan this time around.
