14-Year-Old Boy Arrested For Allegedly Firing Gun in Central Maine Street
A Maine teen has been taken into custody following an incident that allegedly occurred late on Saturday night.
According to an article published by WGME 13, police responded to reports of shots fired on Pierce Street in Lewiston, Maine on Saturday night.
When police arrived at the scene they found multiple shell casings in the vicinity of of 101 Pierce Street.
Police then utilized nearby surveillance footage and were able to identify a 14-year-old male suspect. Officials say that it appears the shooting was in fact targeted, WGME said.
After making the identification, police were successfully able to take the juvenile into custody.
The 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated reckless conduct and was then transported by police to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in Portland, WGME reported.
At this time, due to his age, the identity of the suspect is currently being withheld. Fortunately, despite the shooting in a residential area, no injuries were reported following the incident.
