
Lewiston, Maine Pair Arrested on Drug, Firearm Charges
Two men, who happen to be brothers, have been arrested in Lewiston, Maine on suspicion of drug trafficking and weapons charges.
According to an article that was published by WGME 13, the brothers were taken into custody on Tuesday. Police say that the executed a search at their home located at 108 Pierce Street in Lewiston, Maine on Tuesday.
During their search, police allegedly found multiple firearms inside the home. In addition to the guns, officers on the scene also said they found 10 grams of suspected fentanyl as well as crack cocaine and $15,000 in what they think is proceeds from drug sales.
WGME reports that police then arrested 26-year-old Haji Haji, who is currently on probation for a different drug trafficking charge, and his brother, 22-year-old Ali Haji, both bothers are from Lewiston.
Haji Haji has been charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. Ali Haji was subsequently charged with aggravated trafficking of schedule drugs, theft by receiving stolen property, and also criminal forfeiture.
Police familiar with the arrests say that Haji Haji is being held on $15,000 bail which is now in addition to his probation hold and his brother Ali Haji is currently being held on $25,000 bail.
