Maine 4-Year-Old Dies After Accidental Self-Inflicted Gunshot Thursday
According to the Kennebec Journal, police responded to a call Thursday afternoon on Forest Hill Road in Temple to reports of a child with a gunshot wound.
According to reports the gunshot wound is being described as accidental by both authorities and other residents that were home at the time. Police were on scene well into the evening as they continued to investigate and gather info from the incident.
The Maine State Medical Examiner's Office will be performing an autopsy later in the day on Friday.
