Maine Rallies for Desirae: A Night of Love and Support

When it comes to supporting those in our communities, it's one of the things that makes living here in Maine so special. No matter the time of year or what the cause is, we always show up for one another.

And even though we always have each other's backs, we really have each other's backs when it comes to our kids. And now, one Central Maine family could really use a helping hand from the community.

Tonight, from 4 to 8, at The Landing in China, the community is coming together for a special fundraiser to support Desirae and the Proctor family. Desirae has been facing serious health challenges over the past month, spending much of that time in and out of the hospital.

Her mom, Chelsey, has remained by her side every step of the way. Unfortunately, Chelsey’s job will be coming to an end next month, making the financial strain on the family even heavier.

This evening’s benefit aims to raise money to help ease that burden so Chelsey can continue to be there for Desirae during what will likely be a long road ahead. Desirae is known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and incredible resilience.

Now it’s our turn to show her just how much love and support surrounds her. The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend, share, and bring friends. And keep in mind that the docks at The Landing are in so you can even come in your boat if you want to!
