Congdon’s After Dark is returning for its 10th summer season, bringing food trucks, live entertainment and family-friendly fun back to Route 1 in Wells. The popular outdoor food truck park is located next to Congdon’s Doughnuts, which already has a legendary reputation of its own in southern Maine.

According to WGME, Congdon’s After Dark kicks off its 2026 season on Thursday, May 21. What started back in 2017 with just a few food trucks has grown into a major summer stop for locals, tourists and anyone who enjoys eating outside like they’re at the Super Bowl of snacks.

This year’s season will include more than 25 rotating food trucks, giving visitors plenty of choices throughout the summer. In addition to the food, Congdon’s After Dark will also feature live music, family fun nights, community fundraisers and weekly car shows beginning in July.

There will also be a bar truck on site serving Maine craft beer, wine and signature cocktails.

One of the best parts? Admission and parking are free. Leashed pets are also welcome, so even the dog can come along while you debate whether dinner should be tacos, barbecue, seafood, burgers or, somehow, all of the above.

Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available.

Congdon’s After Dark has become a go-to summer tradition in Wells, and with its 10th season now getting underway, it looks like another busy year ahead for one of Maine’s favorite food truck destinations.
