Two lucky lottery players in Maine are suddenly dealing with a very good problem: what to do with a whole lot of money.

According to the Maine State Lottery, two winning Megabucks tickets were sold recently, splitting a jackpot worth more than $4 million.

The winning tickets were purchased at two different Maine stores: the Circle K in Bethel and the Big Apple in Gray.

That means each ticket holder is now a millionaire.

One of the winners reportedly had no big lottery plan at all. Maine Lottery says the person had stopped at the store just to get change and decided to grab a ticket while they were there, WGME reported.

That quick stop turned into a life-changing payday.

It is one of those stories that makes every gas station trip feel a little more important. You go in for change, a coffee, or a bag of chips, and suddenly you are checking numbers like your whole future depends on it.

For these two Mainers, it actually did.

The Maine State Lottery says the more-than-$4 million jackpot will be split between the two winning tickets. Both were sold right here in Maine, proving once again that sometimes the biggest wins happen during the most ordinary errands.
