Maine Man Threatens His Ex-Girlfriend & Then Sets Her Clothes on Fire
According to WGME 13, a Maine man has admitted to threatening his ex-girlfriend and setting her clothes on fire.
The alleged incident happened in August of 2021 and involved, Christian Conley, of Naples. He is accused of threatening his ex with a knife, choking her and setting her clothing on fire, WGME reports.
In addition to setting his then girlfriends clothes ablaze, it's also reported that Conley threatened to kill her and himself with a knife and kneed her in the ribs while she was on the ground.
In a plea agreement on Tuesday, Conley plead guilty on eight charges, WGME reports.
WGME says that Conley was sentenced to four years in prison, however, the judge in the case suspended all of that time except for nine months and a day for a felony charge of domestic violence criminal threatening. When he gets out of jail, Conley will then be on probation for two years.
