Central Maine officials are trying to locate a mother and her young son after they say no one has heard from them in days.
According to an article from the Kennebec Journal, the Fairfield Police Department is currently attempting to locate Star Cunningham, 38, and her 3-year-old son. Police say that Cunningham was last seen in Fairfield Center after recently moving from Chelsea.
Police tell the Kennebec Journal that she was seen in Fairfield Center shorty after some kind of 'altercation' with her mother. Cunningham's mom then called the police to report her missing sometime on Monday.
Fairfield Officer Matthew Wilcox told the Kennebec Journal that as of Thursday evening police were still attempting to make contact with the mother and child. And, while the police haven't spoken directly to her, they did mention that they have been in contact with someone who has spoken to Cunningham and police do believe that she and her child are safe.
Since Monday, area police were able to triangulate the signal on Cunningham's phone to the town of Sidney, however they have still been unable to pinpoint her exact location.
Fairfield Police went on to explain as part of a Facebook post,
