How many times have you opened your TikTok app and immediately started tearing up at the video on your screen?

This seemingly happens to me all of the time. And of course, this weekend was no exception. In between watching Sunday afternoon football and checking my fantasy team stats (I won by the way), I hopped on to doom-scroll on TikTok.

However, doom is the last thing that I came across. The very first video that popped up in my face was from a Maine creator called MaineMomDiaries. In the video, she goes on to explain how during a recent trip to the grocery store, the most generous and unexpected act of kindness was bestowed upon her.

You can watch the video on TikTok here.

In the video description she shared this heartfelt thank you:

"To whoever paid for my groceries at Hannaford in Westbrook, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We’ve been struggling lately and could barely afford this trip. I had budgeted everything down to the penny, and when the cashier told me I only owed $3, I broke down in tears. I had just been feeling frustrated and guilty for scolding my son, and your kindness completely shifted my day and my heart.

You have no idea what your generosity meant to me. That was the kindest thing a stranger has ever done for us. I wish I could thank you in person and give you the biggest hug. I truly hope life gives you nothing but good things in return. You deserve every bit of the good karma coming your way."

What a kind thing for someone to do, and it clearly had a huge impact.

Hope her message gets to whoever helped her!
