Maine Woman in Custody After Driving Impaired with Kids in Car
Kayle Libby, 31 of Westbrook, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Alfred. State Police indicated Libby was driving erratically and into oncoming traffic on route 111. According to WMTW, other drivers were able to box her in at the intersections of 111 and 202 until Troopers arrived. Two young children, who were riding in the back seat, were taken into protective custody and eventually released to family.
Police said Libby was under the influence of central nervous system depressants. She is charged with OUI, endangering the welfare of a child and driving to endanger. Bail was set at $1,100 cash.
