Spring is here and just like the fall, it might be time to take a look at the oil tank gauge and decided if you are going to use that tax return or stimulus money to fill that up.

I say oil because it the most common heat source for our Maine homes.  If you don't have an oil company you always do business with or want to check out the prices then you need MaineOil.com.

It is not the sexiest of websites but super helpful.
Pick your fuel type.
Pick your region.
Get prices.
MaineOil.com gives you a list of local businesses with their prices, location, and contact info. Super-duper handy!

Oil prices in Maine for March 29, 2021, were $2.59 a gallon from the Maine Governor’s Energy Office.  There is also a graph on that website of oil prices and yes prices are up compared to last summer when they were very low.

The Governor's Energy Office did also show the average for propane and kerosene.  Propane is, on average, at $2.91 and kerosene is averaging $3.19. Both have been trending up recently.
