A man was found dead inside a Windsor home by fire officials following reports of a blaze inside the home on Tuesday afternoon.

The Kennebec Journal is reporting that the fire was reported at 762 Ridge Road in Windsor in the early morning hours on Tuesday prompting a large response from Windsor Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding departments including Somerville and Jefferson.

The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office and Delta Ambulance responded to the scene as well. The KJ reports that first responders found that one person had escaped the blaze but another man was dead inside.

The newspaper reported that 25-year-old, Payson Viles, was found deceased inside the trailer. His body has since been transported to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, Maine.

The Maine State Fire Marshall's Office also responded to the scene and said their preliminary findings do not indicate foul play in the blaze. No comment was immediately made on what may have caused the 12:40 am Tuesday morning fire.
