The alleged incident took place on Wednesday night in the Maine town of Mechanic Falls, WGME reported.

Apparently there was an ongoing altercation between neighbors on Callahan Circle. The initial altercation began between a man and a woman, the news station said. However another man eventually got involved and then the two men began fighting.

Once the altercation between men became physical, one of the men stabbed the other in the abdomen.
