According to WABI, a mechanic was trapped underneath a lift and injured Friday afternoon at Rockland Ford.

The first person on the scene was actually an off-duty Rockland Fire Fighter who was on his way home. Rodney Gibbs, the off-duty fire fighter, was quickly joined by the rest of his department as they were responding to the scene.

The man trapped under the lift was freed within 15 minutes. According to officials the man is fortunate to only have injuries to his forearm.
