Another Major Artist Was Just Announced For Maine’s Bangor Waterfront Concert Series
It's only December and already we have had the priviege of announcing several exciting shows that are headed to the Maine Savings Amphitheater in 2025. And now today we have another great show we want to tell you about.
It has just been released that Grammy-winning music-icon, Melissa Etheridge, will be bringing her tour to Bangor this summer.
Melissa Etheridge is a Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter and rock musician, known for her raspy voice and deeply personal lyrics. She gained fame in the late 1980s with hits like "Bring Me Some Water" and "Like the Way I Do".
Her 1993 album Yes I Am, featuring "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window,", both of which were played on 92 Moose, cemented her as a rock icon. Etheridge is also a vocal LGBTQ+ advocate, publicly coming out in 1993. She has survived breast cancer and continues to inspire with her music and activism.
Her self-titled debut album in 1988 featured the hit "Bring Me Some Water," earning her a Grammy nomination. She gained mainstream success with the 1993 album "Yes I Am," which included "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window," the latter winning a Grammy.
Her personal life includes four children. She had two children with former partner Julie Cypher, with David Crosby as the sperm donor, and twins with actress Tammy Lynn Michaels. Since 2014, she has been married to television producer Linda Wallem.
Melissa and the Indigo Girls will take to the stage in Bangor on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. Tickets will go on sale for the show next Thursday, December 12th, at 10a!
