Get ready for a weekend of fun and tradition (plus all the delicious fair food you can eat) as the Monmouth Fair's gates are open now through Saturday at the fairgrounds, located at 79 Academy Road.

Admission is just $7 bucks for anyone 13 and older, while kids 12 and under get in free. Plus, seniors enjoy free entry on Wednesday according to monmouthfair.com.

Hosted by the Cochnewagan Agricultural Association,serving the community since 1907, this classic Central Maine fair blends entertainment with education, showcasing the best in agriculture through exciting shows, interactive displays and hands-on demonstrations for all ages.

Kids will love the carnival rides and the popular pig scramble, while fans of thrilling competition won’t want to miss the horse pulls and the redneck truck pull. There’s truly something for everyone at this classic Maine event.

What's going on through the weekend?

On Friday at the fair you can enjoy all the food and rides, plus the bike drawing, pig scramble and even a drivers ed certificate drawing. Friday evening you can turn up the fun with a live performance of Central Maine favorite 'Sharon Hood & Dixon Road' kicking off at 7:30 on the stage.

On Saturday, the final day of the fair, it's a full day of fun with Smokey's Greater Shows, more bike drawings and Mr. Drew & His Animals, Too. Saturday night feel the thunder of the Redneck Truck Pulls just before the LA Harley Band takes the stage to close out the weekend of fun at the Monmouth Fair.
