The clock is ticking toward midnight, the champagne is chilled, and somewhere aboard a glamorous train hurtling through the night… there’s been a murder.

Welcome to Midnight on the Orient Express, a New Year’s Eve murder mystery experience hosted by The Stage Door and Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor.

Set in 1926, this immersive evening invites guests to step into the golden age of luxury travel, when silk gowns, sharp suits, and whispered secrets filled the train cars of the legendary Orient Express.

Was it revenge? A desperate attempt to silence her? Or something even darker? As the night unfolds, guests will meet a cast of suspicious characters, played by some of Penobscot Theatre Company’s favorite performers, each sharing convincing stories about where they were when the crime occurred. Every conversation is a clue, and every smile might be hiding a lie.

Your boarding pass doesn’t just grant access to the mystery. It also includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, a celebratory champagne toast, and a front-row seat to an unforgettable New Year’s Eve filled with intrigue and suspense.
