So it starts again, the seventh season of ‘The Voice’. I’ll admit back in season one, I didn’t think it’d be back for a second, but I was wrong. Even stranger, over the years it has turned into probably my favorite singing completion show.

Did you happen to watch the season premiere last night? The debut of Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams as coaches I thought was really well cast. I really liked Christina Aguilera, however, Gwen Stefani is a very good replacement maybe even to Aguilera and who knows I may like her more as the season rolls along.

Pharrell Williams now a performer as well but for years previous a producer and writer of many hits including the song "Hella Good," in which he played drums in the performance to open the show last night.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are the glue of the panel in my opinion, but I think they have the best four people as a combination since 'The Voice' began three and a half years ago.

The only hard moment last night was seeing the girl with pink hair not make it. I really liked her. Her talent was so-so but as Stefani noted she had the “it” factor once she saw her.

I’ll be back tonight to watch the second night of blind auditions as will many if last night’s numbers were any indication.
