Much of the service industry is supply and demand. And sometimes, it's giving people something they didn't even know they liked or wanted.

Perhaps that's the case with boba shops. Just a few years ago, finding a boba shop in Maine was like searching for Bigfoot. Good luck finding one, and even if you did, was it being made the right way?

Over the last couple years, Maine has grown a taste for boba, and because of that, more entrepreneurs are taking the risks and opening new shops to give the supply for all the demand. That includes a brand-new shop at 947 Main Street in Westbrook.

It's called HoneyBoba, and while the shop itself may be small, the flavors being packed into their beverages are mighty. The shop offers a variety of different drinks, including fruit teas made with real fruit as well as milk teas.

Even though the shop has only be open a short time, the reviews seem to be centered around one particular facet of the new place: how HoneyBoba prepares their boba, and what likely inspired their name.

The small, family-run shop is open six days each week with varied opening and closing times. They are closed on Mondays.
