Recent Lawrence HS Grad, Nia Irving, to Play Basketball at Boston University

Congrats to former Lawrence High School standout basketball player Nia Irving. Just recently graduated, Nia yesterday (June 22) announced that she will be accepting a full scholarship to Boston University.

The 6-foot-1 center led the Bulldogs to the Class A state championship back in February. She is a three-time Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A Player of the Year. She was named Maine's Gatorade Player of the Year and received several scholarship offers, including from UMaine.

Former Lawrence HS star and UMaine star Cindy Blodgett is an assistant coach at BU.
