Police, Crisis Team, Respond to Overnight Standoff in Whitefield

According to News Center Maine, several agencies including Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Maine State Police and Whitefield Fire/Rescue responded to an apparent standoff in Whitefield Friday evening.

After arriving on scene, Maine State Police called in their tactical and crisis negotiation teams to assist on site, News Center reports.

At this time, the exact location and names of those involved have not been released by authorities, though social media is buzzing from locals with speculation of the events that unfolded and the location.
