Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that happened Friday evening in Lewiston, Maine.

According to WGME 13, the reports of the apparent shooting began to come in at around 7:45 on Friday evening. Police responded to the area of College and Union Streets in Lewiston.

Though no one was reported injured in the shooting, police say they were able to recover shell casings in the area and several cars were struck by bullets, WGME reported.

Lewiston Police say that they do NOT believe this was a random attack and that the shooters likely had a target or person in mind. Police continue to investigate the shooting and are asking anyone who may have information to reach out.

In the meantime, Police continue to review area surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the vehicle or suspects involved in Friday night's drive-by.
