Red Cross Blood Donations Needed For Summer Season
As the world gets back to a normal-ish vibe...the need for blood is still critical. Surgeries and medical treatments that had been on hold because of COVID-19 concerns are being rescheduled. In fact the American Red Cross said the need for blood had grown 30% in the last few weeks after dropping off in early April because of the coronavirus concerns. But because of the virus and concerns surrounding it many, many blood drives have been cancelled. This is where you come in.
To get on track with those treatments and surgeries, they need to an amble supple of blood on hand to do that. Give blood. You can save a life! And you get cookies after you donate. That is winning in my book.
The American Red Cross says "healthy individuals who are feeling well are asked to make an appointment to donate in the weeks and months ahead by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
The Red Cross says there is only one source of blood and that is a healthy, volunteer donor. Is that you? Please help keep the blood supply strong with your donation.
Make an appointment today by visiting RedCrossBlood.org. Calling 1-800-RED CROSS or downloading the blood donor app. AND remember to bring you ID!
I just want to say thank you.
