Winterfest 2026 Brings Free Family Fun to the Community of Sanford, Maine

Winter is a time for fun, and Sanford Winterfest 2026 is the perfect way to celebrate the season. Sanford Parks & Recreation invites everyone to enjoy a full day of free winter activities for the whole family. The event will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Gowen Park and Memorial Gym. All community members are welcome, and there is no cost to attend.

The day begins outdoors at Gowen Park from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families can enjoy sledding and warm up by a cozy bonfire. Guests can also take part in cross-country ski and snowshoe races on the tennis courts. Race prizes are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Sanford. Outdoor activities will depend on the weather, so be sure to dress warmly and bring your winter gear.

Indoor fun continues at Memorial Gym from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Young children can enjoy Toddle Time in the Café. There will also be an art station, fun inflatables in the gym, and a food truck from Gotta Be Frank. Free water, hot cocoa, and popcorn will be available for everyone.
