‘Tis the Season to Check the Oil Tank; Check Out the Local Prices

Fall is on the way...the pumpkin spice has returned. I have seen a tree changing color and the Farmers' Almanac has put out their prediction for the winter of 2020-2021...my friends...winter is coming. Now is the time to check the tank of whatever heats your home or your woodpile...when I was a homeowner it was always oil. It is the most common heat source for our Maine homes. I checked it on August 26, 2020, and the prices in central Maine were in the $1.65 to $1.75 a gallon for regular home heating oil.

I did pop over the website for the Governor's Energy Office to find the average for propane and kerosene.  Propane is, on average, at $2.36 and kerosene is averaging $2.45.
