The wait is almost over for Augusta dessert lovers.

After months of planning, construction, recipe testing, and preparation, Smush Cookie Creamery has officially announced its opening date. The new dessert destination at 185 Water Street in downtown Augusta will open its doors on Thursday, June 4, at 11:30 a.m.

The announcement was shared on the company's Facebook page, where owners thanked the community for its support throughout the process.

"After months of planning, construction, recipe testing, and a lot of hard work from our team, we're excited to finally open the doors to Smush Cookie Creamery this Thursday!" the post reads.

What Can We Expect?

When the doors open, customers can expect a wide variety of sweet treats including warm cookies, ice cream sandwiches, loaded shakes, sundaes, cheesecake, cupcakes, whoopie pies, brownies, and more.

The Smush team says the last several weeks have been spent perfecting recipes and preparing for opening day.

If you've been eager to see what all the buzz is about, you'll finally get your chance this Thursday. Smush Cookie Creamery will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on opening day at 185 Water Street in Augusta.

As the owners put it: "Stop in Thursday, say hello, and come get Smushed."
