It's always exciting when we get to announce that a new local business will be opening in Central Maine.

Sure, corporate businesses are important to local economies all around the country, but it's the small 'mom & pop' joints that are the backbone of so many cities and towns throughout the United States.

Yesterday afternoon I got a Facebook message from a friend of mine who just so happens to already own a business in Central Maine. Natasha Littlefield, owner of Nash's Gym, sent me a message with some insider information.

And, now that the motion has been approved by the town, I can share it with you! In addition to her successful gym, Natasha is now going to be adding a cafe to her business portfolio.

They have been working on making renovations to the building that Nash's Gym is already in and they plan to open this new cozy cafe during the first week of November at the same spot.

She told me that the cafe will be open from 6a-2p and will feature things like coffee, smoothies, pastries, salads and breakfast & lunch items as well. This will be a wonderful addition to the bustling community of China and give residents another great option when it comes to dining locally.

We wish Natasha and her family all the best and cannot wait to swing in and try a bite at the soon-to-be Nash's Cafe!
